Weston is the Director of the Newman Catholic Center in Chico. He has a long history with the Diocese of Sacramento serving in youth ministry, music ministry and now college ministry. Weston grew up in Redding, CA and has been in Chico since 2007. Weston is excited to be working alongside our dedicated college students here at the Newman Center. When he isn’t working he likes to travel without an itinerary and play basketball with the students.
We asked Weston three unusual questions to find out a little more about what makes him tick.
What is your favorite way to waste time? Taking my motorcycle out on a long ride.
What is your silliest fear? The creepy plant life at the bottom of the lake that have possible zombie arms in them.
What smell do you love the most? Coffee, because nothing ever goes wrong when you’re drinking coffee.
Dre is the Program Coordinator of the Newman Catholic Center in Chico. She has worked for the Diocese of Sacramento serving in youth, music, and now college ministry. Dre has 18 years experience in campus ministry and parish youth and young adult ministry in the Diocese of Sacramento and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This time includes 4 years as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. John the Baptist, Chico. Two years ago Dre made the move back home after spending 8 years in Ventura County. She loves working alongside our dedicated college students here at the Newman Center. When she isn’t working she likes to spend time with her Godchildren Ben and Lucy.

What’s the best thing to do on a cold winter day? Make a huge pot of coffee and binge a good Netflix series.
Where is the worst place you have lived? I lived on Oahu right after I graduated college and I hated it, I moved back as soon as I could.
What food do you crave most often? Coffee. Does that count as food if it’s the thing I consume most throughout the day? If it doesn’t count, then…sushi.
