Meet our staff
Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Sarah first fell in love with her faith while an undergraduate student at Santa Clara University. After a year of volunteer service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps she moved to Boston to earn a Master of Divinity from Boston College. Sarah then spent three years as a Campus Minister at Providence College before moving to Chico with her husband Andy. She loves folk music, strong coffee, and being outdoors.
Fun fact: Sarah qualified for the jump rope nationals in double dutch in sixth grade. She still has a rope and is always willing to pull out some tricks.
Favorite thing about Catholicism: the way the Sacraments point to what is sacred and yet also meet us in our most human, emotional needs – of being welcomed into community, being forgiven when we're wrong, being fed in our hunger and restlessness, being loved in our longing, and being cared for in our weakness. God meets us in all of that!
Email Sarah or stop by the Newman Center to meet her!
