Nicolette is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, originally from the Los Angeles area she’s lived in Chico for the past six years. Her passion resides in helping humans grow and strive towards their own goals, passions and cultivate healthy relationships. She received her B.A. from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and her M.S. degree from California State University, Chico. She provides mental health services in the community, for both youth and adults; providing individual, family, group and couples therapy. Nicolette is excited to be partnering with the Newman Center to support mental wellness and spiritual growth. Ultimately she considers herself a holder of hope as she joins with individuals, couples and families for a brief part of their journey in the challenging beautiful life.
We asked Nicolette 3 unusual questions to find out a little more about what makes her tick: 1. If you could learn the answer to one question about your future, what would the question be? If I could know one thing about my future, I’d like to know if I’m healthy. It's something I know I take for granted still being semi-young. 2. Where is the worst place you have been stuck for a long time? The worst place I’ve been stuck is probably a hospital waiting room. Sitting and trying to wait patiently as I worry and pray for someone I care about is never a pleasant experience. 3. If you had to change your name, what would your new name be? I’ve always loved the names Oliva and Ophelia. To pick something less common, I’d probably go with Ophelia. |
